Clinical Pilates Classes
Clinical Pilates is a series of mat based exercises in various different body positions which have been adapted by physiotherapists to make them more suitable for clients with back and neck pain, helping posture and those recovering from injury.

Polestar Clinical Pilates is a limitless and ever evolving education in movement. It will develop the mind and body and is suitable for beginners, those new to exercise or experienced athletes, as well as for rehabilitation and improving mobility. Classes are taught in groups of up to six, for responsive learning and adaptability.

Polestar clinical Pilates exercises do not change in intensity but evolve, the variations are limitless. Polestar Pilates also teaches effective movement Integration to help heighten awareness of movement, breathing and posture. These consists of Polestar Principles of Movement, and other various methodologies of movement science.

All new class Clinical Pilates students receive a 15 minutes postural evaluation & functional testing. This is to find out where to base, and target your movement. Taking 2 of the exercises from the Polestar Screening, we can test for spine control, postural alignment, shoulder abduction and rotation. We also test for hip alignment. A full in-depth health questionnaire will also need to be filled in at this point. Nutritional advice, is now being given if required, as an additional part of the class.

A Yoga class working on a deeply physical and psychological level to develop flexibility and balance, endurance and cardiovascular strength, as well as mental clarity and tranquility. Make time to focus on your health and wellbeing. To centre and align your energies, helping you become happier, stronger, and better equipped to take on life's challenges. Suitable for all

All new Yoga class students receive a 15 minutes postural evaluation & functional testing. This is to find out where to base, and target your Yoga movement. Taking 2 of the exercises from the Polestar Screening, we can test for postural alignment, rotation and spine control. Also testing for hamstring flexibility and alignment, and hip rotation and alignment. A full in-depth health questionnaire will also need to be filled in at this point. Nutritional advice is now being given if required as an additional part of the class.

10.45am - 11.45am Ashtanga/Vinyasa Align Yoga Class    

The Studio  
A fully equipped Clinical Pilates & Yoga Align studio in a beautiful and unique setting nestled in the grounds of a 16th  century converted Barn in Tenterden. The studio at Stalwart Wellness has heated oak floors,  full bi-fold doors with teaching out on the deck in warm weather, mirrored walls and full glass façade overlooking the secluded landscaped gardens and lake.

Classes are only available by advanced booking, please contact me to discuss.

Clinical Pilates  AND Yoga classes are £90 per person (£15 per session) payable in advance for  6 weeks, for one hour class session each week. Due to limited spaces available we are unable to defer classes or offer a refund.
